The building that housed KFC/Taco Bell of Trenton is being demolished to make way for the 10th branch location of BTC Bank, which is based in Bethany.

Trenton Building Inspector Donnie Vandevender reports BTC Bank purchased the KFC/Taco Bell property at 1000 Oklahoma Avenue and the Witten property at 922 Oklahoma Avenue. He says the bank also received demolition and building permits.

BTC Bank President Doug Fish reports he hopes to place a temporary modular building on the slab where KFC/Taco Bell was and open the location by the end of October or beginning of November. BTC Bank originally planned to put the temporary location next to KFC/Taco Bell, but plans changed when the bank was able to buy both the restaurant and Witten properties.

After the building to the west of KFC/Taco Bell is torn down, the bank plans to build its new permanent building there. Fish says he hopes the building of the permanent location is complete in late Spring or early Summer next year and he is excited about having a location in Trenton.

Former Trenton resident Laura Kimble has been hired for the location. BTC Bank previously announced former Trenton resident Tom Witten would also work at the location.
