A case has been certified to Division One of Livingston County Circuit Court for a Kansas City man charged following an alleged high-speed pursuit New Year’s Eve.

A bond amendment was taken up and denied for Nathaniel Watkins on Wednesday. Bond was previously set at $7,500 cash only and Supervision Services on his original warrant and $10,000 cash only, Supervision Services, and a drug patch on a warrant for failure to obey judge. He is scheduled for arraignment on March 3rd.

Watkins was charged with the felonies of resisting or interfering with an arrest for a felony and driving while revoked or suspended.

Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox reported he attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Watkins for allegedly having no license plate, but a chase ensued with the suspect vehicle traveling west in the eastbound lanes of Highway 36. Watkins gave himself up on LIV 273 after his vehicle reportedly “gave out.”
