A Trenton youth has completed work to refurbish a storage garage on property next to the former county jail.

Kail McCarter provided the labor as an Eagle Scout project. Supplies were purchased with 15 hundred dollars provided by Grundy County Commissioners. The balance of funds was donated by Homeland Realty of Trenton.

The garage, now with new siding and an overhead door, houses a Trenton Kiwanis Club trailer and U-S flags which are put out around the courthouse on selected holidays as long as weather conditions allow.

Kail McCarter is a member of Trenton Boy Scout Troop 97.

Once paperwork is processed and approved by boy scout officials, an Eagle Scout ceremony will be held.
