Jenkerson, Coffey resignations announced at R-9 Board of Education meeting

The Trenton R-9 Board of Education has announced four resignations and four employments following a closed session on Wednesday regarding personnel.

Resigning effective at the end of the current school year are Trenton Middle School Principal Dustin Jenkerson, his wife Lindsey (a music teacher at S.M. Rissler Elementary School), Trenton High School Assistant Principal Erik Coffey, and cook Shirley King.

Coffey will be the Director of the North Central Career Center in Bethany next school year.  Dustin Jenkerson has taken a position as Principal at Columbia West (MO) Middle School next year.  Shirley King is retiring.

Employed for the 2016-2017 school year at Trenton R-9 are Rachel Lorenz as elementary music teacher, Susan Hashman as an elementary teacher, and Jackie Hoffman and Mary Ellen Kincaid, both as part-time speech implementers.

Rachel Lorenz has been employed this year as a music teacher in the Grundy R-5 District.  Susan Hashman is a former elementary teacher in the Princeton District.  Jackie Hoffman is a former Trenton R-9 Health and Physical Education teacher who is current a speech implementer at Grundy R-5, while Mary Ellen Kincaid is a retired elementary teacher from the Chillicothe School District.
