The Trenton Police Department reports a Jamesport man sustained minor injuries as the result of a car striking the rear of a sports utility vehicle on Highway 6 west of the intersection with South Main Street Monday.

Forty-one-year-old Tashyanna Dowell of Trenton traveled west in the SUV on Highway 6 when she reportedly stopped for a flagman stopping traffic due to construction. Fifty-seven-year-old Jerry Lee Seward of Jamesport also traveled west on the highway and did not see the SUV stop until it was too late for his car to stop. Seward said he attempted to stop, but his brakes did not work well.

Moderate damage was reported to the front end of the car and the rear end of the SUV.

Seward was transported to Wright Memorial Hospital for minor injuries and Dowell was not reported injured.
