The Jamesport Tri-County R-7 Board of Education on January 10th approved a bid from Perkins for the demolition of a house and construction of a parking lot near the school. Secretary Heather Turner reports it is unknown how much the final price will be for the project because the board cut out some things in the bid.

A sports cooperative was approved with Gallatin for football, with Gallatin as the host school. The cooperative is pending the approval of Gallatin.

The board moved to seek bids for an eight-month certificate of deposit for $150,000. The funds are being reinvested following the receipt of local tax dollars in December and January.

Missouri School Boards Association policy updates were approved.

There was a discussion of capital projects and funding options from L. J. Hart and an EBS lease involving broadband with the Grundy Electric Cooperative. The Safe Return to In-Person Instruction and Continuity of Services Plan and the preliminary school calendar were reviewed.

Two candidates filed for the two open positions on the Jamesport Tri-County R-7 Board of Education. The candidates for the three-year terms are Incumbent Jennifer Simons and Micha Dixon.

Secretary Heather Turner reports the board will not have an election in April because the same number of candidates filed that there are positions available.
