The Jamesport Tri-County Board of Education has approved a property tax levy of slightly over $4.43 cents on the 100 dollars of assessed valuation.

That rate is up slightly over seven cents on the 100 dollars compared to last year.

The rate includes a voter-approved temporary levy of 25 cents on the 100 dollars for capital improvements.

In other action, the board approved bus routes.

There was a discussion about fundraising requests but no action was taken.

A closed session was held regarding personnel with no announcement afterward.

The next regular session of the board of education is the night of September 7th at 6 o’clock.
