Iowa man injured in Sunday motorcycle accident near Bethany

An Iowa man was injured late Sunday in a motorcycle accident one mile north of Bethany.

The highway patrol reports 59-year-old Carl Hoffmann of Kellerton, Iowa received minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany.

Hoffmann was northbound when the motorcycle failed to navigate a turn and it went off the west side of U-S 69.

The report noted the motorcycle traveled down a small embankment where it collided with a tree.

The motorcycle was demolished in the 5 pm Sunday accident.

The report noted Carl Hoffmann was wearing a safety device.
