The Highway Patrol reports a couple from Johnston, Iowa sustained serious injuries as the result of a one-car accident on southbound Interstate 35 in the Cameron city limits Thursday morning.
The car, driven by 78-year-old Donald Gadbow, traveled off the left side of the road, struck a median crossover, and went airborne. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels in the median facing south and was totaled.
An ambulance transported Donald Gadbow and his wife 77-year-old Bethelyn Gadbow to the Liberty Hospital.
The Patrol reports both wore seat belts at the time of the accident.
The Cameron Police Department assisted at the scene.
