A Livingston County Sheriff’s Office investigation has lead to the arrest of a Chillicothe woman for alleged burglary, stealing, and theft of a controlled substance.

Sheriff Steve Cox reports an investigation of a residence on Old Highway 190 showed forced entry into the residence while no one was home. The victim reported several items were stolen from the home.

Cox says a subsequent investigation lead to interviewing an adult at a residence in Chillicothe and a search of that home, which resulted in the collection of most of the stolen property and the arrest of 29-year-old Cynthia Renee Periman.

Periman was charged in Livingston County Associate Court with alleged second-degree burglary. Her bond was set at $25,000, and she was transferred to the Daviess-Dekalb County Regional Jail.

A juvenile allegedly assisted Periman in the theft and the juvenile officer has interviewed that subject. Cox reports the juvenile office will handle the minor while Livingston County Prosecuting Attorney Adam Warren will handle the adult criminal prosecution.
