Located just south of Gallatin on Route 13, the bridge over Honey Creek has been a pathway for motorists since 1934.
A replacement project to bring the Daviess County bridge up to current standards will be led by contractors from L.G. Barcus and Sons, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation. Crews plan to close the bridge Monday, May 14, with a planned reopening in early September.
During the closure, motorists will be directed with a signed detour over U.S. Route 36, Interstate 35 and Route 6.
