The Highway Patrol Troop B will conduct driving while intoxicated saturations in Linn County this month.

Commanding Officer Captain James Wilt says special enforcement operations, such as DWI saturations, enable the Patrol to enhance its efforts in removing impaired drivers from the roads.

He adds that driving while impaired continues to be a major contributing factor in fatal traffic crashes in Missouri.

Wilt encourages citizens to contact the nearest law enforcement agency if they suspect a motorist is driving while impaired or observe a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner.

Citizens can call the Patrol toll-free at 1-800-525-5555 or star 55 on a cell phone to report emergencies.
