Two Green City residents were hurt when a car overturned off Highway 6 west of Novinger on Friday afternoon. The Highway Patrol said the driver, 26-year old Yannick Illunga, and a passenger, 39-year old Arthur Bembo, both received minor injuries.
Illunga was taken by private vehicle to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville. Bembo was taken to Northeast Regional by the investigating Highway Patrol officer.
The accident was four miles west of Novinger on Highway 6. The Patrol said the eastbound car traveled off the right side of the road, went out of control, and overturned. The car was demolished. Both people were wearing seat belts.
