Highway 6 accident injures two from Green City

Two Green City residents were hurt when a car overturned off Highway 6 west of Novinger Saturday afternoon.

The highway patrol reports the driver, 26-year old Yannick Illunga, and a passenger, 39-year old Arthur Bembo, both received minor injuries.

Illunga was taken by private vehicle to Northeast Regional Medical Center at Kirksville.

Bembo was taken to Northeast Regional by the investigating highway patrol officer.

The accident happened four miles west of Novinger on Highway 6, when the eastbound car traveled off the right side of the road, went out of control, and overturned.

The car was demolished.

Both occupants were wearing seat belts.
