High-speed chase from Brookfield to Macon ends in arrest

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is reporting the arrest of a Kansas man who led authorities on a high-speed pursuit that ended near Macon.

The pursuit began when a trooper with the Missouri Highway Patrol attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding near Brookfield, around 11:30 this morning, Monday, March 21.

The driver of the vehicle failed to yield, resulting in a pursuit that led to Macon.

The suspect pulled over, bailed from the vehicle, attempting to flee into a wooded area behind a home. It was there troopers apprehended him shortly after the noon hour. Troopers are also reporting the apprehension of a passenger.

Charges are pending against the driver, with no other information available.
