Three Hatfield residents were hurt when a minivan went off ice-covered Highway 69 north of Bethany Friday afternoon.

The driver, 61-year old Teresa Hudson, and her grandchildren, 4-year-old Remington Doolittle and 6-year-old Kadence Lambert, all of Hatfield, were taken to Harrison County Memorial Hospital in Bethany.

The highway patrol reports Remington Doolittle had serious injuries, Kadence Lambert received moderate injuries, and Teresa Hudson sustained minor injuries.

The accident happened three miles north of Bethany on Highway 69 when the southbound minivan went out of control on the ice-covered road, spun and went off the right side of the road, and came to rest on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

The mini-van was demolished and the patrol reported the children were not secured in safety seats and Ms. Hudson was not wearing a seatbelt.
