Along with the announcement on Saturday of a COVID-19 case in Livingston County, the Harrison County Community Hospital, along with the Harrison County Health Department on Sunday announced a case of Coronavirus in Harrison County.

The individual that tested presumptive positive is a woman aged 40 to 49 and a resident of Harrison County.  Officials say the woman is recovering at home under voluntary self-isolation.

The Administrator of the Harrison County Health Department, Courtney Cross said they are working to identify any close contact the woman has had with other individuals who may now need to self-isolate in order to limit the spread of infection. If you are not contacted by a state or county health official then you did not come in contact with this individual and are not at an increased risk of infection.

Officials say that presumptive positive result with this individual simply reinforces the need for the public to practice protective measures as prescribed by health officials to slow and prevent the spread of infection in the community. These practices include ten (10) or fewer people in public gatherings, good hygiene, staying home when you are sick and social distancing.
