Grundy R-5 School District receives high marks in annual performance report

The Grundy R-5 School District received 97.1% of the possible points in the latest annual performance report which includes student achievement, college and career readiness, the graduation rate, and attendance.

The board has approved a bid to replace a portion of the sidewalk to the agriculture shop and along the west side of the high school building accepting the bid from Terry Blattner at $4,700.

The board approved an expenditure of about $3,700 for the purchase and installation of a new water heater for the old high school gymnasium. The cost estimate was from Boston John Heating and Cooling of Kirksville.

Those wishing to run for the Grundy R-5 Board of Education in April can file at the district office at Galt during school hours December 13th through January 17th. There are three, three-year terms and a one-year unexpired term to fill.
