Grundy County Sheriff reports the arrest of three individuals

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office reports there have been several arrests in the last few days.

Twenty-five year old Shawn Michael Yuille of Trenton was arrested at the Western Reception, Diagnostic, and Correctional Center of Saint Joseph on Wednesday on a capias warrant on a probation violation on an original charge of felony stealing a motor vehicle. Bond was set at $100,000 cash only, and probation was suspended. Yuille is scheduled for Division One of Grundy County Circuit Court on Thursday.

Fifty-eight-year-old Benjaman Burt Harper of Acworth, Georgia was arrested Monday and has been charged with felony driving while intoxicated: persistent offender. Bond is $5,000 cash only. Court documents accuse Harper of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Court records indicate Harper was found guilty of DWI in Boone County, Iowa Circuit Court in January 2009, and he pleaded guilty to DWI in Carroll County, Iowa Circuit Court in February 2016.

Forty-two-year-old Shannon Brake of Maize was picked up at the Western Reception, Diagnostic, and Correctional Center on Wednesday for failure to appear in court on felony operating a motor vehicle on a highway without a valid license—third and subsequent offense and misdemeanor owner operating a motor vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility: first offense. Bonds total $3,200 cash only.

Harper and Brake are scheduled for the Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit Court August 27th.
