The Grundy County Rural Fire Protection District responded to a grass fire on the afternoon of April 1.
Fire Chief Kenny Roberts reports someone was burning off grass along Southwest Elder Lane, and nine hay bales caught on fire. Two acres of grass also burned.
No structures were damaged, and no injuries were reported.
Firefighters were at the scene for less than 30 minutes.
