The museum’s exhibit season ends Sunday, October 21 and this is the final opportunity to see this year’s outstanding exhibit celebrating Grundy County’s sports programs.

In addition to a display of sports equipment and school memorabilia, such as uniforms and trophies, 25 information and photo panels highlight sports in each of Grundy County’s five schools, TBA, American Legion, and Trenton Merchants. Video interviews run continuously as local sports personalities recall their experiences as players and coaches.

Ever wonder who Burleigh Grimes was? The museum “tells all!” “Ol Stubble Beard,” as he was called, pitched 314 complete games, won “20 games” five times, managed the Brooklyn Dodgers and is in the Baseball Hall of Fame. He also lived in Trenton. Learn more at the museum.

The museum will be open 1:30 – 4:30 Saturday and Sunday, groups can be scheduled at other times. Admission is free to active military and children 12 and under; adult admission is $2.00
