Grundy County Health Department to remain open, but services altered in response to COVID-19

The Grundy County Health Department in Trenton will remain open with regular hours but has altered office services to prioritize COVID-19 response and protect the health of employees. There are NO confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Grundy County.

There will be no walk-in services, except for birth and death certificates. Tuberculosis testing and injections will only be done by appointment. Health screenings, immunizations, and WIC services will continue with some operational changes.

Outreach events have been canceled, including worksite health fairs. The Green Hills Wellness Challenge is canceled, and no prize money will be awarded. Participant entry fees will be used for the Grundy Countywide Back to School Event.

The health department reminds residents to continue to practice good hand washing and cough etiquette. They are asked to not come to the health department office if they are sick.

The health department also reminds the public that COVID-19 symptoms include cough, fever, and shortness of breath. Those who have symptoms and believe they have been exposed should stay at home, except to seek medical care. Call ahead before going to the doctor. The Grundy County Health Department is not testing for COVID-19.
