Grundy County Democrats to hold meeting to begin Presidential delegate selection process

Grundy County Democrats have a meeting early next month to begin the Presidential delegate selection process. The meeting is scheduled Monday, April 6, at 7:30 pm at the VFW Post Home at 919 Washington Street in Trenton.

In order to participate in the mass meeting, you must vote in the Missouri Presidential Primary Tuesday, March 10th, however, if the individual turn 18-years of age by the General Election in November, you can participate in the April 6th meeting. Identification will need to be shown that includes the date of birth.

The Democratic county meeting is described as the first step in the delegate selection process in order to run for or have a vote for a district-level delegate to be chosen at the district convention on April 20th or to vote at the state convention on June 20th.

Those wishing to participate in the Trenton meeting on April 6th must be in attendance by 7:30 and show their voter registration card or driver’s license.

The number of delegates to be chosen and the Presidential candidates who are viable will be determined by the results of the Presidential Primary on March 10th.
