The Grundy County Commission met with Third Judicial Circuit Court Judge Jack Peace Tuesday afternoon to discuss proposed renovations for the third-floor circuit courtroom at the courthouse in Trenton.
Presiding Commissioner Rick Hull says the commission will inquire about construction for the remodel and see if the company that previously submitted a bid for the project can still do the work for the price originally bid.
The Grundy County Commission opened a bid from EZ Cabinets of Spickard for $18,200 in June. The bid did not include carpeting or electrical.
The commission tabled a decision on the bid at that time until it could be determined how much carpeting and electrical might cost.
Hull reports the courtroom remodel would be county-funded.
