Two women facing separate felony charges of possession of a controlled substance waived preliminary hearings yesterday in the Associate Division of Grundy County circuit court.

Tristen Marie Greer of Trenton is to appear Thursday, July 14 in division one of circuit court and Michelle Sue Curtis of Trenton is to be in Division One on August 18th.

Krystal Martin of Trenton pleaded guilty to amended charges of issuing a bad check. She was fined $200 plus court costs and required to make restitution of $2,300. Seven other counts were dismissed by the prosecution.

A Lexington man, Thomas Kopp, pleaded guilty to criminal nonsupport of a minor child. On a plea agreement, the imposition of sentence was suspended and Kopp was placed on two years probation.

Plattsburg resident Kenneth Leon Talley pleaded guilty to amended charges of third-degree assault. Per a plea agreement, Talley was sentenced to 17 days in jail; then was given credit for time served.

Trenton resident Ricky Howard pled guilty to unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. On a plea agreement, he received 13 days in jail and was given credit for time served.

Galt resident Shawn Edward Hoover requested a jury trial on charges of domestic assault in the third degree. The case was certified to Division One of circuit court.

Among defendants to be arraigned tomorrow in Division One are David Wayne Owen of Hot Springs, South Dakota who faces felony DWI charges, aggravated offender. Two traffic cases against Owen were certified to Division One of the circuit court.
