Grundy County circuit court saw a fairly light case load in the latest session.

18-year-old Avery Hietpas of Trenton waived a preliminary hearing and was bound over to Division one of Grundy County circuit court on a charge accusing possession of a controlled substance. A charge accusing Hietpas with failure to display license plates was certified to be heard in Division One of circuit court.

19-year-old Emily Hildenbrand of Leisure Lake waived a preliminary hearing and was bound over to Division One on a charge of possessing a controlled substance.

46-year-old Jeffrey Hanna of Trenton withdrew a prior plea and pleaded guilty to third-degree domestic assault and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Hanna was sentenced to 30 days in custody but given credit for already serving that time and was released.

Hanna is to pay $50 Grundy County law enforcement fund and $116 in court costs.

38-year-old Richard Leeper of Trenton said he did not have $241 owed from a previous court case. Judge Steve Hudson converted the money owed to 24 days in the Grundy County Detention Center. Leeper was given credit for already serving nine of those days leaving 15 days in jail. The $241 was for court costs and a required contribution to the Grundy County law enforcement fund.

A Princeton resident, Jeanette Windsor, pleaded guilty to Animal abuse. She was put on one-year probation and required to pay $116 in court costs.
