The Green Hills Animal Shelter of Trenton will hold its annual chocolate contest next month to support the shelter.
Contestants can begin setting up at the First Christian Church Activity Center of Trenton the afternoon of February 11th at 4 o’clock. A public sampling of chocolate items will continue from 5 to 7 o’clock.
The public can vote on entries in taste, creativity, and presentation categories with prizes awarded to the division winners in each category. A grand prize will also be awarded to the contestant with the most combined votes. There will also be a themed basket silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and a live dessert auction.
Admission will cost $10.00, which includes unlimited tasting of chocolate items. “To go boxes” will also be available to purchase.
