Grand River Valley Choir and Orchestra to perform Saturday night in Trenton

The Grand River Valley Choir and Orchestra will perform a concert as part of Trenton’s Gooseberry Festival Saturday night.

The concert entitled “Just Music” will be held at the First Baptist Church in Trenton with doors to open at 6:30, and the concert will start at 7 o’clock.

Board President Monica Fawson tells that the choir will perform a negro spiritual, Down By the Riverside, a surprise piece, a love song, and Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing.

Orchestra Director Buddy Hannaford says the orchestra will perform Radetzky March, The Syncopated Clock, and English Folk Song Suite, which includes Seventeen Come Sunday.

A DVD of the performance will be available for $15 plus shipping with order forms available at the concert.

A reception will follow the concert in the basement of the First Baptist Church.

Donations will be accepted.
