The Grand River Valley Choir and Orchestra formed a Donors Club last Fall to offset the cost of obtaining music and other costs associated with the group.

Board member Carol Reger of Milan explains the club was created in order to help the choir and orchestra rent and purchase new music to use for the two yearly concerts, instead of recycling pieces.

Reger explains the Donors Club has five tiers of giving with the first level being the Friends, with donations from $25 to $49. The Partners tier is $50 to $149, the Artists Circle tier is priced at $150 to $499, and the Conductors Circle tier is priced at $500 to $999. The highest level of giving is the Bravo Club, which is for donations of $1,000 or more.

Reger says the group was overwhelmed and pleased by the community’s response to the Donors Club. She notes she will be personally contacting several businesses in the area and will send letters to other individuals who were strong supporters of the former Friends of the Arts and the Trenton Acting Guild.

Reger would also like to speak to organizations and clubs about the Grand River Choir and Orchestra’s Donors Club. She may be contacted at 660-265-4822 or at 660-265-8869.
