The Grand River Historical Society Museum’s quarterly meeting later this month will include a pork loin dinner and a program on the African Methodist Episcopal Church.

The meeting will be at the Chillicothe Elks Lodge the night of April 17 with dinner prepared by Jeff Frampton served at 6:30. Museum board member Rodney Mouton will present the program around 7:15.

The program will cover a historical perspective of the AME Church in the United States, significant historical figures leading to the proliferation of the church, associated secret societies, and the Bethel AME Church in Chillicothe.

The meeting costs $10 per person, which covers the meal and the program.
