The Grand River Historical Society Museum quarterly meeting, which is open to the public, will be held at 6:30 pm Tuesday, October 24th at the Chillicothe Elks Lodge, 401 Harvester Road.

The program will feature a panel discussion on Chillicothe’s status as a major railroad hub in North Central Missouri during the 20th century. Museum board President Marvin Holcer will moderate the discussion as Danny Gramenz, Jim Henley, Dick Samms, Butch Schaffer and Everett Shipp will discuss the many railroads which have gone through Chillicothe over the years and relate their tales and memories of the past importance of railroad transportation in the history of our community.  The society invites anyone who is a railroad enthusiast to join them at the meeting and share railroad stories.

The dinner of pork loin prepared by Jeff Framton will begin at 6:30 in the evening and the program starts at approximately 7:15 to 7:30. The cost for the dinner and program is $10.00 per person.

For reservations call the Museum at 646-1341 or Ron Wilder at 646-0502.
