Galt Community Fair begins annual run tonight

Galt community fair begins this evening with several activities planned through Sunday morning.

This evening, there’s a spaghetti supper from 5 to 8 o’clock at the fire station in Galt. Serving will be done by the Galt fire protection district ladies auxiliary. Eat and pay what you want.

The Galt Lions Club has announced it’ll offer home-made ice cream during the same hours this evening at the fire station.

A game called “tail tag” is for children from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock.

A musician from Humphreys, known as “D-Lo,” will perform from 6 until 9 o’clock.  Persons attending the music show are to take lawn chairs. There’s no charge.

Grundy R-5 members are to have farm mechanics and shop work submitted by 9 o’clock tonight for display. Then, 4-H exhibits, along with the public taking in quilts, crafts, flower arrangements, and garden entries, by 10 o’clock Friday morning at the fire station.

One of the attractions at the Galt community fair involves the human foose ball tournament.

Participants will be in two age groups. Youth 13 to 17 will compete Friday. Adults 18 and older compete on Saturday. Cost is five dollars a person. 50 percent of all entries fees are to be awarded to the winning team. In order to have time to set up a bracket, persons wishing to enter a team are to contact
