A Gallatin woman accused of causing a fatal accident in Cameron last year pleaded not guilty on April 2 in Clinton County Circuit Court.

Twenty-three-year-old Cylea Reann Campbell waived formal arraignment. The case was continued to May 7 for a plea or trial setting.

Campbell has been charged with felony first-degree involuntary manslaughter, stemming from the accident on the Grand Avenue Bridge at Interstate 35 in Cameron in August. At the time charges were filed, the Cameron Police Department reported that 86-year-old Ray Stone of Cameron was killed in the accident.

Campbell has also been charged with misdemeanors of failure to drive on the right half of the road when the road was of sufficient width, resulting in an accident; driving while revoked or suspended, and owner operating a motor vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility.
