Gallatin woman injured in I-35 crash

A Gallatin woman was injured last night, according to the highway patrol, when the car she was driving northbound went through the median of Interstate 35 in Daviess County and collided with a vehicle traveling in the other lanes.

The highway patrol reported 22-year-old Amanda Hommertzheim of Gallatin was taken by ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries. She was not wearing a seat belt according to the report.

The southbound car was driven by 61-year-old Linda Reeve of Excelsior Springs who wasn’t hurt.

Damage was listed as moderate for the car operated by Ms. Reeve and extensive to the one driven by Ms. Hommertzheim.
