Life Flight Helicopter

The Highway Patrol reports two persons were injured this morning when a pickup and car collided on Highway 13 in Daviess County.

The patrol reports 35-year-old Brandon Bush of Coffey received serious injuries in that accident five miles south of Gallatin and was flown by medical helicopter (Lifeflight Eagle) to St. Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza in Kansas City. A passenger in the car Bush was driving, 41-year-old Jason Thomson of Hamilton received a minor injury and reportedly refused treatment at the scene.

A trooper reports that at 5:10 this morning, Bush was driving southbound and a pickup operated by 51-year-old Steven Siegel of Gallatin was northbound. Siegel apparently fell asleep causing his northbound pickup to cross the center line of Highway 13 and strike head-on with the Bush automobile. Siegel was not hurt during the crash.
