A Gallatin man was arrested over the weekend on four felony counts stemming from a Trenton Police Department investigation.

22-year-old Justin Jay Rainey was charged yesterday with second-degree burglary, theft of a controlled substance, possession of the controlled substance, and resisting arrest for a felony by allegedly running from a police officer.

Bond was set at $25,000 pending an appearance Tuesday in the Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit Court.

Information filed with the charges indicates Rainey is accused of unlawfully entering an apartment at 1700 East 30th street in Trenton for the alleged purpose of stealing. Rainey is accused of stealing prescription drugs that are described as the property of the occupant of the apartment. Rainey is accused of possessing the controlled substance alprazolam, the generic name for Xanax.

All of the counts, including resisting arrest, stem from an incident last Saturday in Trenton.
