Livingston County Extension Council has announced sponsorship of an event on the final day of this month called a “Leap into Soup Supper Fun and Games”.
The fundraiser is from 3:30 until 7 o’clock Saturday, February 29th at the Jenkins Expo building on the Livingston County Fairgrounds. Free will donations will be accepted for the soup supper.
4-H clubs from Livingston County have joined together to create a carnival-like atmosphere with games and prizes available for children of all ages. A few of the biggest highlights will be bounce houses and mechanical bull riding where participants must sign a waiver. Tickets can be purchased on site. A silent auction will feature themed baskets created by 4-H Clubs and supporters.
The purpose of the February 29th fundraiser is to support the purchase of a new Livingston County Extension Center. After many moves over the past few years, 4-H Specialist Sean Murphy says having a permanent home allows Extension programs to better serve the needs of citizens and families for years to come. Extension programs include those involving 4-H, Nutrition, Human Development, Agriculture, and others to strengthen the community.
