Friday events top off week of Homecoming activities in Trenton

Crowned Trenton High School Homecoming Queen and King Thursday night were Jayden Roeder and Colton Colston, both of whom are seniors. Voting was done by the student body of the high school.

The homecoming parade begins at 2 o’clock this afternoon, leaving the high school parking lot on Normal Street then west on 17th to Harris Avenue, where it will go south to 9th Street, then turn east on 9th to Bulldog Avenue and into Eastside Park. Longtime school board member and R-9 supporter Kevin Bailey is Grand Marshal.

The Homecoming tailgate supper will be hosted by two student organizations:

FCCLA (Family Career and Community Leaders of America) and the FTA. (Future Teachers of America)  The event is eat and pay what you want. Serving at the Eastside Park shelter house begins at 5 o’clock this afternoon.

Pre-game activities on the CF Russell field begin at 6:30 with the football game against Polo kicking off at 7 o’clock tonight and broadcast on Z101.7 with Sports Director Tom Johnson calling the play-by-play.

The Homecoming Dance is Saturday night from 8 to 11 o’clock at Trenton high school.

At the Princeton School, the pre-game supper will be hosted by Henke Family Farms with serving from 5:30 until 7 o’clock. The event is eat and pay what you want for the “Yellow Out” tailgate raising awareness of childhood cancer.

The 7 o’clock Princeton and Gallatin football game will be on KTTN FM at 92.3 tonight.
