Four face judge in Grundy County Court

Among cases processed Tuesday in the Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit Court Kansas City resident Kyle James Hoyle pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated. He was sentenced to 25 days in the Grundy County Jail and given credit for time served, then released on this charge.

Brian Dale Olson of Trenton pleaded guilty to amended charge of 4th-degree assault – a misdemeanor. He was sentenced to 27 days in jail and given credit and released. Olson also is to pay $100 to the law enforcement fund.

Trenton resident Aleisha Lea Shipley-Fair pleaded guilty to an amended charge of defective equipment. She was fined $200 dollars. For a driving while intoxicated charge, Miss Shipley-Fair pleaded guilty. The court suspended imposition of sentenced and put her on two years supervised probation. Plea agreements were involved in both cases. She also is to contribute $100 to the law enforcement fund. Another count dismissed.

Trenton resident Tristan Lee Vencill admitted to violation of probation. The court noted $2,250 was owed in restitution stemming from original charges of hindering prosecution and making a false affidavit to mislead a public servant. The clerk was instructed to withhold funds from a posted bond and Vencill’s probation was continued.

Judge Steve Hudson recused himself from hearing charges against Cory Jack Burchett of rural Trenton and another judge is to be assigned to the court cases.
