Final Tri-County coaches shows of 2015-2016 season

It was a rough season for the Tri-County Mustangs in the win column for 2015-2016, although there are bright spots with both rebuilding programs heading into the next couple of years.  The Lady Mustangs have a good freshman class that Head Coach Penny Gardner hopes will be the anchor in a consistent return to the win column for Tri-County.  The Tri-County boys were young coming into the season, and expected to lean on senior guard Dillon Cook for early success.  That hope waned after Cook suffered a season-ending ACL injury, throwing the young Mustangs into the “Lion’s Den” of varsity action.

The Mustang teams bowed out of district tournament action at Norborne High School in the quarterfinal round early last week, with the final interviews of the season with Coach Gardner airing on Thursday afternoon, February 25th on KTTN FM 92.3.
