The basketball seasons for North Central Missouri College both ended on the same afternoon, with the Lady Pirates and Pirates falling in the Region 16 semifinals at Joplin on Friday, February 26th.  The Lady Pirates showed great effort and resolve, but fell to eventual Region 16 champion St. Louis, 77-75, while the North Central men lost a halftime lead and gave up 61 second-half points in a 96-90 loss to St. Louis.

In the final interviews of the season with Head Coaches Jenni Croy and Steve Richman, we talk the highlights of the just-completed season, the efforts to restock the roster on the recruiting trail, and the positives taken from this year’s up-and-down campaigns.

Already, there is good news on the recruiting trail for the Lady Pirates, who received a recent verbal commitment from Kendey Eaton, the starting point guard of the #2 ranked (Class 1 MBCA) Mound City Lady Panthers, who play on Saturday in the state quarterfinals at Bishop LeBlond High School in St. Joseph against Norborne (1:00 PM).  Signing day is Friday, April 8th, when the commitment can be made official.
