The 9th Annual Festival of Trees has changed this year’s date to Saturday, November 5th instead of holding the event on the day after Thanksgiving as has been the practice in previous years.

Organizers report the Trenton High School Band and families have been big supporters of the holiday festival for many years, providing entertainment, sound system and MC, helped with various booths, and donations.

This year, the festival of trees committee decided to have the event early and make the donations to the Trenton High School Band to go towards their trip to Houston, Texas for a Thanksgiving Day parade.

On November 5th, Trenton’s Christmas parade will go on, as usual, starting at 4 o’clock the viewing of trees, shopping with vendors will be from 5:00 to 7:00, with the auction at 7:00.

Anyone willing to donate trees or help can call Brenda Thorne 654-0218 or Judie Leininger 359-5123 – both at Trenton.
