Several events to assist veterans are coming up during the month of November.
A vet center councilor will be available at the Trenton VFW Post 919 November 3rd from 8 o’clock in the morning to 1 o’clock in the afternoon. The councilor will provide free confidential help to veterans and family of active duty military. Topics discussed include stress management, post-traumatic stress disorder, and marriage counseling.
Veterans Service Officer Wayne Kleinschmidt will also be at the Trenton VFW Post November 3rd from 8 to 1 o’clock to help veterans with any VA paperwork.
Kleinschmidt will be at the Trenton Hy-Vee to help veterans with paperwork November 11th from 9 o’clock in the morning to 1 o’clock in the afternoon as well. He says that Hy-Vee will provide a free breakfast for veterans that day.
The VA Mobile Health Clinic visits the Livingston County Courthouse in Chillicothe the first and third Monday of each month from 9 o’clock in the morning to 3 o’clock in the afternoon as well as every Tuesday at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton from 9 to 3 o’clock.
A Vet Center Bus visits the Calvary Baptist Church in Chillicothe the third Saturday of each month.
