The University of Missouri Extension will start two estate planning classes this week.

A class geared toward family estate planning will be held at the Federated Church in Hamilton Thursday as well as January 25th from 6:30 to 8:30 at night. Meridith Berry with the Grundy County Extension Office notes that individuals will need to attend both nights. Registration costs $20 for an individual and $30 for couples.

An estate planning class focusing on larger estates and succession of businesses will be held at North Central Missouri College’s Geyer Hall Thursday as well as the next three Thursdays from 6 to 9 o’clock at night.

Berry says the Trenton class will include a light supper and the cost will be $110 per person and $50 for a second person.

Berry believes individuals who are concerned about where their property will go or if their businesses will continue after they die should attend the estate planning classes.

Call the Grundy County Extension Office at 660-359-4040 extension 8 to register for the estate planning classes.
