Entries now open for North Central Missouri Fair Queen

Contestants are being sought for the North Central Missouri Fair Queen competition at Trenton.

Young women ages 17 to 21 involved in 4-H and FFA are eligible for the competition.

The competition entails an interview, speech or talent presentation, with an evening gown category with the interview accounting for 40 percent, the speech or talent 40 percent, and the evening gown segment 20 percent.

A panel of five judges will critique the July 31st competition with the coronation to be held the night of August 2nd at 7 o’clock at the courtyard area of the fairgrounds.

First place is worth a 350 dollar scholarship to North Central Missouri College or 300 dollars to the school of the winner’s choice. The winner also receives a tiara, sash, flower bouquet, and a paid entry to the 2017 Missouri State Fair Queen Competition.

The first and second runners-up receive a 100 dollar scholarship to the school of their choice and a flower bouquet.
