The Missouri Public Service Commission reports Empire District Gas Company will reduce annual natural gas revenues by $773,566.

Residential customers will see natural gas rates drop by about 1.7 cents per 100 cubic feet of natural gas. The new rates are expected to take effect on October 24th.

The Public Service Commission notes the reduction is a benefit of the federal Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.

The Empire District Gas Company serves about 43,000 natural gas customers in Missouri.
