Day two of Missouri Northwest District Career Development Events see more qualify for state

More area FFA teams qualified for state judging after the second day of the Missouri Northwest District Career Development Events Wednesday.

Area FFA chapters that had teams rank in the top five and qualify for state included four from Trenton, three from North Harrison, two from Princeton, and one team each from Chillicothe, Hamilton, Gallatin, and Cameron.

Trenton FFA teams placed first in Ag Sales and Food Science, second in Meats and fifth in Dairy Cattle.

The Chillicothe Ag Sales team placed second. Princeton teams place first in Dairy Cattle and Meats. North Harrison had one team place first in Forestry, one place second in Dairy Cattle, and one third in Meats. Hamilton’s Forestry team received second place in Forestry. Gallatin’s Forestry team placed fourth. The Cameron Food Science team received second place.

The Winston FFA Chapter had one team finish in fourth place for Food Science, but it did not qualify for state competition.

Teams from two area FFA chapters ranked in the top three in their categories at the Missouri Northeast District Career Development Events Wednesday.

Meadville’s Livestock team placed second. The Putnam County Dairy Cattle team received third place. Both teams qualify for state competition.

Individually, Meadville FFA member Audrey Martin scored the highest in Livestock.
