Cultural Corner Art Guild and Gallery in Chillicothe features an exhibit of “Fabricscapes,” paintings, and pottery Tuesday, April 4 through April 29th.

The artists are Dave Walker, and his daughter, Hannah smith.

Walker, who’s originally from Chillicothe, is a fiber artist who puts small pieces of fabric together in what he calls “Fabricscapes.”

Hannah smith is an acrylic painter using mixed media and does drawings, printmaking, and ceramics. Her work has been shown in regional art galleries and art fairs throughout the Midwest and promoters say a number of her works belong to private collections across the region.

Around 60 works of art are to be displayed at Cultural Corner in Chillicothe with many of them for sale. Also available for purchase will be Hannah Smith’s first self-published adult coloring book titled “Enchanted Ocean.”

A reception, open to the public, will be held Friday evening from 5 until 8 o’clock at Cultural Corner Art Guild and Gallery with refreshments to be served.

Cultural Corner is located at 424 Locust Street in Chillicothe and is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 10 until 4 o’clock, and Saturdays from 10 until 2.

Several classes also are scheduled this month at that location. Among them, the course tonight from 6 until 8 o’clock is called “Ladies of Glass: Glass Fusing.”

The instructor is Vilma Holt and the cost is $25.00 for members and $35.00 for non-members.

Introduction to wet felting will be held Saturday morning from 9 until 11 o’clock. The instructor is Zelma Cleveland and the fee is $15.00 for members and $25.00 for non-members. There is also a $10.00materials fee.
