The highway patrol reports the death of a woman when the truck she was driving, hit the rear of a semi truck, two miles to the north of Cameron, causing her truck to overturn.  Thirty-two-year-old Constance Huff of Kidder was pronounced dead just after midnight by the DeKalb County Coroner.

Huff’s truck and the semi were southbound on Interstate 35 just before 11 o’clock last night when the truck driven by Ms. Huff failed to slow for the semi operated by 64-year-old Kenneth Lewis of Carlisle, Pennsylvania. After impact with the larger truck, Ms. Huff’s vehicle traveled off the east side of the highway and overturned onto its top.

The report indicates Huff was not using a seatbelt and the truck she was driving was demolished. The big rig received minor damage as it was driven to a controlled stop on the shoulder of southbound I-35.  Lewis wasn’t hurt as he was using a safety device.

The highway patrol reported the body of Constance Huff was to be transported to Frontier Forensics of Kansas City, Kansas where autopsies are performed.

Assisting the highway patrol troopers were Cameron Police and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.
