A resident of Cowgill, 76-year-old Sandra Reeves, was injured Wednesday in a Highway 13 accident in Ray County.

The highway patrol reports Reeves was taken by ambulance to Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond with minor injuries.

She was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 76-year-old Charles Reeves of Cowgill. They were driving northbound when a southbound vehicle slowed to make a left turn into a private drive and, authorities say, pulled into the path of the oncoming vehicle. The turning vehicle was driven by 79-year-old Charles Cassity of Rayville.

Neither driver was reported hurt in the 11 am Wednesday accident and all occupants were using seat belts.

According to the report, the Cassity vehicle was demolished while the Reeves vehicle had extensive damage.
